Blog Inspired By My Mother

I have always wondered why mom wouldn’t answer calls when I made them through Facebook. Living in North Carolina while they remained in Pennsylvania I don’t see them often.

When my husband was in Iraq we had to rig a digital camera to yahoo messenger to accomplish the same thing you can today with the touch of a button. We had no sound, the picture was poor and there was a 10 second delay.

So you can imagine my mom’s reaction when I taught her that she could make video calls over Facebook…

Facebook Video Messaging

“You can quickly start a video call from any conversation with just one tap. If you’re messaging with someone and realize that words just aren’t enough, you can simply choose the video icon in the top right corner of the screen and start a video call right from within an existing Messenger conversation.”

Messenger is available for calls made from a mobile phone to another mobile phone, even if one person is on iOS (iphones) and the other person is on an Android device.

Now Try It!

Not sure who to test the feature with? Call me! I’d be more than happy to play with you.
